Rules for Zone-play Squirts, Peewees & Bantams Format

¨       Mandatory to play 14 games total within your Zone. Exception to the 14 Game rule will be made if the zone has 5 or less total teams at that age class, in which case 12 “in-zone” games are mandated.

¨       Mandatory to play at a minimum reciprocating games (home/away) with each team within your Zone (or Zone Conference, if applicable). All others games played for League games shall be determine fairly as possible for all associations within each League.

¨       Mandatory that all Zone League Games to be completed by January 31st, 2011.

¨       Mandatory that all Zones send two (2) teams to the State Tournament Tier IV February 11, 12 &13.

¨       Game results for the 14 Mandatory Games will be posted to the MeAHA website, and will calculate standings and divided by Zone.

¨       Zones with 8 or more teams will divide into two conferences within the zone (3 conferences if more than 16 teams).

¨       Players who are cross-rostered onto multiple teams MUST formally declare a team prior to December 31 in order to be eligible for State Tournaments.

¨       MeAHA State Tournament will be comprised of 2 teams from each Zone (except where Zones have combined, in which case the combined Zones can only send 2 teams total).

¨       It is highly recommended that each Zone host a Zone Tournament, using the MeAHA standings to establish seeding. The result of the Zone Tournament would be the advancement of the two finalists to the MeAHA State Tournament.
